Terms of Use
These Terms of Use explain the rules for using SmallWorld. By creating an account, signing in, checking the agreement box, or using SmallWorld, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use SmallWorld.
1. Service Description
SmallWorld is a social product built around trusted contacts, shared trusted context, and user-controlled connection opportunities.
SmallWorld provides features such as profile display, trusted-contact requests, encounter greetings, chat, voice messages, decision tools, blocking, reporting, notifications, and account deletion.
SmallWorld is not a dating app, random stranger matching service, anonymous nearby chat app, or real-time location tracking tool.
2. Account and Sign-In
You may register for or sign in to the Mainland China version of SmallWorld with a Mainland China phone number, SMS verification code, and a password you set.
You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate, lawful, and under your control. Do not share your password, verification codes, account access, or device access with others.
You may not create accounts using false, misleading, stolen, or unauthorized information. You may not impersonate another person or misrepresent your relationship with another person or organization.
3. Eligibility
You may use SmallWorld only if you are legally permitted to use online services and to accept these Terms in your country or region.
SmallWorld is not intended for children under 13. If local law requires a higher minimum age or parental consent, you are responsible for following those requirements.
4. Profile and User Content
You may create or submit profile information, display names, avatars, photos, bios, interests, boundaries, chat messages, voice messages, reports, and other content through SmallWorld.
You retain any rights you have in content you submit. However, by submitting content to SmallWorld, you grant SmallWorld a limited permission to host, store, display, transmit, process, moderate, and use that content as necessary to operate, protect, improve, and provide the service.
You are responsible for the content you submit and for your interactions with other users.
5. No Tolerance for Objectionable Content or Abusive Behavior
SmallWorld does not tolerate objectionable content or abusive users.
You may not upload, send, display, or otherwise submit content or behavior involving:
- harassment or bullying
- hate speech or discriminatory conduct
- sexually explicit content
- threats or intimidation
- spam, scams, or fraudulent activity
- impersonation
- privacy violations
- illegal content or illegal transactions
- malicious links or harmful software
- repeated unwanted contact
- content that violates another person's rights
- any other abusive, unsafe, or inappropriate behavior
Users must respect blocking and safety boundaries established by other users.
SmallWorld may use safety tools, moderation rules, and human review to reduce and address objectionable content or abusive behavior.
6. Trusted Contacts and Encounters
SmallWorld encourages users to connect through trusted contacts, shared trusted context, and intentional interaction.
The encounter feature is designed to show possible trusted connection opportunities only when applicable rules are satisfied. It is not an open directory of nearby users, random anonymous matching, or dating.
Regular users do not directly see the full list of shared contacts behind an encounter.
Account phone numbers are used for authentication, account safety, trusted-contact search, and service operation. If you choose to call a trusted contact, SmallWorld only opens the iPhone phone dialer; the call itself is handled by the system phone service.
7. Visibility and Location
SmallWorld uses location only when you manually enable Visible Mode and grant system location permission.
Location is used to determine whether eligible trusted-circle connection opportunities may be available within an approximate nearby range.
SmallWorld does not show your exact real-time location to other users, does not provide a public live location map, and does not allow users to track your movement in real time.
You can turn Visible Mode off at any time.
8. Chat Conduct
You should communicate with others respectfully, honestly, and safely.
Do not send harassment, threats, scams, advertisements, illegal transaction content, malicious links, sexually explicit content, or messages that violate another person's privacy or safety.
Chat between users who are not trusted contacts is intended to help both people decide whether to form a trusted relationship. It should not be used for harassment, pressure, deception, or repeated unwanted contact.
9. Decision Tools
SmallWorld may provide simple decision tools for conversations. These tools are for casual coordination and conversation only.
Decision tools are not gambling, betting, contests, financial advice, legal advice, medical advice, or professional advice. Do not use them for high-risk, illegal, or harmful decisions.
10. Blocking, Reporting, and Safety Review
You can report objectionable content, messages, profiles, or abusive behavior in the app.
You can also block users. Blocking is designed to prevent the blocked user from contacting you or appearing in your trusted connections, encounters, or message surfaces. Blocking may also create a safety review record for the SmallWorld safety team.
Reports may be reviewed by the SmallWorld safety team. We may remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, terminate accounts, or take other appropriate action where necessary to protect users, enforce these Terms, or comply with law.
Submitting a false, abusive, or malicious report may also violate these Terms.
For support or safety questions, contact support@smallworld.social.
11. Account Deletion
You can request account deletion in Settings.
After deletion, your account and associated server data are deleted according to our deletion process, except where limited records must be retained for safety, security, compliance, dispute handling, fraud prevention, or legal reasons.
Local data on your device may also be removed through the app's deletion flow.
12. Privacy
Your use of SmallWorld is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and how you can exercise privacy-related choices.

14. Service Availability
SmallWorld may change, suspend, limit, or discontinue parts of the service at any time. We may also perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability.
We do not guarantee that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
15. Safety Disclaimer
SmallWorld cannot guarantee that all user profiles, relationship descriptions, or chat content are true, complete, or accurate.
You should use your own judgment when interacting with others. Avoid sharing sensitive personal, financial, identity, medical, or security information with other users.
You are responsible for your own decisions, content, communications, and offline interactions. Use caution before meeting anyone in person.
16. Intellectual Property

18. Enforcement and Termination
If you violate these Terms, applicable law, or our safety rules, we may take action. This may include removing content, limiting features, restricting access, suspending your account, terminating your account, or preserving relevant records for safety, compliance, or dispute purposes.
We may also take action to prevent abuse, fraud, security threats, or harm to users.
If you believe an action was taken in error, you may contact support@smallworld.social.
19. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time based on product changes, operational needs, safety requirements, or legal requirements.
If we make material changes, we may notify users through the app, website, or other reasonable means. Your continued use of SmallWorld after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
